COZY YET, OR STILL ADJUSTING?

Getting a new mattress is equally exciting as it is important, but waking up with new sensations from your new mattress may be concerning. It’s totally normal to experience new sensations with a new mattress as your body adjusts. Not everyone will experience these adjustments equally or require the same amount of time for those sensations to go away, but we find within 30 days, most sleepers have fully adjusted to their new sleep system.

DESIGNED FOR HOW YOU SLEEP

We meticulously design our mattresses to deliver peak comfort and support and at the right temperature. Our designs are based on years of R&D and utilizing the latest innovations to ensure Better Sleep & Better Days for the widest range of sleepers possible.

SOMETIMES IT JUST TAKES TIME

Title

Years of inadequate support and comfort takes a toll. Your new mattress is working to readjust your body starting the very first night. It is normal to experience some discomfort or soreness during this adjustment period but most customers report that this discomfort goes away after a few nights.

FOR ADDED RELIEF, WE RECOMMEND:

Title

Built For Better Relief

Your Nest & Wild mattress is designed to be maintenance-free, meaning no flipping or rotating. However, rotating your mattress every few days during the first 30 days, can help break your mattress in faster.

Your Mattress Needs Support Too

A solid foundation matters. Use a firm, flat surface or properly spaced slats to ensure your Nest & Wild mattress delivers the comfort and support it’s designed for.

Tailoring Support with Pillows

The right pillow height is just as crucial as the right mattress. Check your pillow to determine if your neck is out of alignment while in your normal sleeping position. If so, time for a new pillow

FOR OVERHEATING, TRY:

Remove mattress protector

Some folks find that a mattress protector can end up trapping heat, see if taking it off for a few nights helps.

Breathable bedding & PJs

Make sure your mattress is on a firm, flat surface off the floor or on appropriately spaced slats. Ensure proper support by choosing the right bed frame

Setting the thermostat

According to the Mayo Clinic, the ideal temperature for falling asleep is between 60-67 degrees Fahrenheit | this might be cooler temperature than you're used to but can help you fall asleep.

FOR SCENT SENSITIVITY, TRY:

Creating a Cross-Breeze

A light “new mattress” scent is normal, similar to a new car. Opening windows or doors to create airflow helps fresh air circulate through the room and mattress, allowing scents to fade more quickly.

Remove Your Bedding

During the first few days, sheets and mattress protectors can trap air as the mattress fully expands. Letting the mattress sit uncovered for a short time helps materials settle and release any trapped air naturally.

In Warmer Rooms

Initial scents are normal and temporary, especially in warmer rooms. Our CertiPUR-US® and OEKO-TEX® certified materials are non-toxic, and any scent will fade naturally with airflow and time.
